The Story of God’s Abundant Love Ministries
Its origins were humble. In fact, the first meeting of God’s Abundant Love Ministries was held in the home of Deacon Adell and Dr. Bennie Johnson on October 5, 1993. Pastor Adre’ Carrington was offered the opportunity to teach a newly formed bible study. The Tuesday night bible study hosted for more than six years attractedand appealed to people of all ages and walks of life.
The Legacy Began
God’s Abundant Love Ministries has made a historic mark on the landscape of Christianity. Pastor Andre Carrington has touched the lives of many through his expansive teaching of God’s word.
Pastor Carrington together with the help of a committed Board of Directors on February 4, 1994 the bible study became God’s Abundant Love Ministries filing its Articles of Incorporation as a Non-Profit Corporation with the Secretary of the State of Texas and later as 501c3 organization.
Through the dedication and sacrifice of the initial 11 Board of Director members, God’s Abundant Love Ministries whose motto is “The Church that God is building” came to fruition.
In June 1997 32 acres of land was purchased. February 1999 portions of the land were cleared for the construction of the new edifice. God’s Abundant Love Ministries hosted its first service in the new building Sunday, December 16, 2001. Each week, God’s Abundant Love Ministries reaches people in Houston and surrounding areas through worship services, bible study, mission and outreach ministries.
